“Food Fit for a World Heritage Site”
I’ve worked for Shimadzu Limited for 7 years as a chef in the restaurants. Originally I did a completely different job, but I loved cooking so I decided to make a career change. I thought that there aren’t many opportunities to work at a place like Sengan-en, so I decided to accept the offer made to me by Shimadzu Limited. I’m very proud that we were made into a World Heritage Site back in 2015.
We begin the day with a morning meeting then check the reservations for the restaurant. The customers start arriving at around 11am. After the days orders have been completed we check and prepare for the reservations for the next week.
